It’s currently 1°C here in sunny Dunsany, and to say we’re snowed in is a bit of an understatement!
There is a path beaten from the barn to the walker, but bar that all horses are cross, bored and dying to get out.
I’m patiently trawling the internet for interesting pieces, the curse of the self-employed, no snow days for me.
School is closed, kids are bored and “there’s nothing to do”, except wind each other up!
The joy of livery though is that I don’t have to be in the yard this morning. My reward for many snow filled days in yards when I was younger.
Nowadays I have two of the very best looking after my youngster, and the worst I have to worry about is getting there to ride him. Having run/worked and boarded in various yards over many years, it’s wonderful to be able to relax in the knowledge that your horse is being looked after as if you were there.
Thanks Mary-lou and Conan for a wonderful job, and peace of mind.
